Soyuz rocket launch 3astronauts to space

Today (September 21), they will reach their orbital destination on a Russian spacecraft, and you can witness the entire event live.

Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Frank Rubio, are scheduled to launch.

At 9:54 a.m. today, the International Space Station was launched from the Russian-run Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

NASA Television, which is also available straight from NASA, will begin coverage at 9 a.m. EDT (1300 GMT) here on Space.com (opens in new tab).

The agency will also provide coverage on its app, social media platforms, and website.

The Soyuz spacecraft from Russia's federal space agency, Roscosmos, will reach the ISS in just two orbits and three hours.

 The Soyuz will subsequently dock with the orbiting complex and, around two hours later, will depart.
