See the pumpkin orange Full Hunters Moon

The moon may appear larger and more orange than usual during the Hunter's Moon.

The Hunter's Moon, October's full moon, will look huge and orange-hued on the horizon around sunset on Sunday (Oct. 9).

For several evenings before and following the Hunter's Moon, skywatchers will be able to observe the almost full moon.

The Hunter's Moon is the first full moon after the Harvest Moon, which occurred on September 10 this year.
