Russian  official jettison the bluster

The tone has shifted now that Dmitry Rogozin is no longer in charge of Russia's space programme.

Dmitry Rogozin evidently took his legendary bluster with him when he left the Russian space agency Roscosmos last summer.

Rogozin led Roscomos from 2018 to July 15, when he was succeeded by Yuri Borisov.

Rogozin's term was distinguished by a series of aggressive outbursts and stunts that escalated after Russia invaded Ukraine this past February.

Rogozin threatened to withdraw from the International Space Station (ISS) alliance unless the West lifted economic sanctions imposed on Russia 

Roscosmos released photographs of cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station holding up flags of Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian soldiers.

This display prompted criticism from both NASA and the European Space
