NASA calls Artemis 1 moon rocket launch

Due to the storm, NASA may wheel the 32-story Artemis 1 rocket into a hangar. The storm is expected to reach hurricane level next week.

After all, NASA's Artemis 1 moon mission will not attempt to thread the weather needle.

The space agency had planned to launch Artemis 1 from Kennedy Space Center on Tuesday (September 27). (KSC),

The Atlantic coast of Florida. That was still the idea as recently as Friday (Sept. 23).

NASA officials emphasised that they were keeping a close check on Tropical Depression 9 in the Caribbean.

Tropical Depression 9 became Tropical Storm Ian late Friday and is projected to strengthen further. It's heading north.

According to the National Hurricane Center, it is expected to approach Florida as a hurricane by the middle of next week.
