A man had a cockroach removed from his ear after three days of feeling it squirm.

Zane Wedding went for a dip in a pool and when he came back he had a plugged ear.

He put a few drops in his ear, CNN reports, and went to take a nap on his couch.

“When I woke up in the morning and it was still blocked, I went straight to the doctor. I was waiting for the doctor [surgery] opening up, it was that infuriating,” he said.

The next morning, however, his ear was still clogged and was still causing him great irritation. And he was so upset about it that he waited outside the doctors before the surgery door opened.

The doctor told Mr. Wedding that he might have water in his ear and suggested using a hair dryer to tackle the problem and dry it out.

Mr. Wedding, from Auckland, New Zealand, arranged a booking with a specialist as soon as he could get to the bottom of the problem.

The specialist took a look inside Mr. Wedding’s ear and said he thought there was an insect inside. Mr. Wedding realized that every movement he had felt was the bug moving inside his ear.
